[Looking back]

It's a good start

I think its a good depiction of the view your trying to acomplish, I didnt feel the hips looked too akward, and I read it pretty easily and well, I'm curious to see how the whole body would look from that angle.

I'm guessing this is a copy and if I'm wrong I apologize, but the dark aspect of the piece demonstrates good control at least on the shading end, I can't say I'm a big fan of how you really zoom in on him, to me it really simplifies the piece and kind of takes away the skill level demonstrated. Maybe try a full figure piece next time and see how you do with that.

Not bad

Good job with the hair and shape of the head, but the face isnt very even, the left eye is a little high, the neck seems to broaden out a lot and makes it seem out of place, and the shoulders look strange.
